The Kenya Electoral Commission has dismissed the hacking claims. Ezra Chiloba, CEO of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission said there was no external or internal interference to the system at any point, before, during and after the voting, and the R.T.O system is secure.
Provisional results from the election put Kenyatta ahead with 54.3% of the votes, compared to 44.8% for his main rival Raila Odinga. That's after 97% of the polling stations reported their results.
However, Odinga has rejected these results and claims the electoral commission has been hacked. He says his own team's tally puts him ahead of Kenyatta.
