The People's Liberation Army (PLA) Garrison in Macao is working around the clock to provide relief and rescue services, and their dedication to the cause has not gone unnoticed. Many residents are showing their gratitude for the soldiers in different ways.
About 1,000 troops from the PLA Garrison stationed in Macao have been mobilized to support the relief efforts following Typhoon Hato.
They were welcomed by local residents, who they worked with to clear roads in the worst hit areas. For many, it was the first time they saw PLA's disaster relief operations and expressed gratitude for the team that came and helped.
“We'll dedicate ourselves to the relief work together with Macao residents and the SAR government, so as to bring life and work back to normal as soon as possible,” said Zhu Yuxi, an officer in PLA Garrison in Macao.
