Keith Rowley, Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, paid a visit to Beijing Construction Engineering Group this morning. As one of the earliest construction firms in China to undertake international projects, the company will serve as the contractor to build an industrial park in the country. The park will be home to high-tech industries such as information technology, biotechnology and new material technologies. The premises will also work with some traditional industries such as electrical appliances, building materials and machinery manufacturing to deeply optimize the domestic industrial structure. The park is expected to bring jobs to tens of thousands of people and contribute 5% to the GDP.
KEITH ROWLEY PRIME MINISTER OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO "On Tuesday, Trinidad and Tobago became the first Caribbean country to have signed 'One Belt One Road'. We have got a very close relationship with China. And we have maintained very close contact over the years."
