We start in Beijing, as the first session of the 13th National People's Congress continues. Legislators approved Li Keqiang as China's premier, along with senior officials of the Central Military Commission and the newly-established National Supervisory Commission. President Xi Jinping signed the first presidential decree of his new term, appointing Li as premier. Li has nominated vice premiers, state councilors, ministers, and directors of departments and units of the State Council as well as other key posts. Lawmakers will vote on the nominations Monday.
