A century ago, Sun Yat-sen conceived in his “National Strategy” an excellent blueprint for China’s development: one hundred and sixty thousand kilometers of railways would be built, along with 1.6 million kilometers of motorways and three world-class ports. And new canals would be dug and existing waterways improved, to develop river transport, water conservancy and hydropower stations.
Over the past five years, a large number of major projects has accelerated China's modernization, the country's cross-sea bridges are world class, and it now embraces 22,000 kilometers of high-speed rail network, by far the longest in the world.
"Sun Yat-sen fought his whole life to make China 'the most prosperous country in the world' and 'the most peaceful country in the world' and the Chinese people 'the happiest people in the world." Chinese President Xi Jinping said, "we can say to Sun Yat-sen today that we are closer to the great goal of the rejuvenation of our nation. We have greater confidence and ability to achieve that goal than at any time in history."
China now has not only visualized the nation's rejuvenation which put forward by Sun Yat-sen a century ago, but also exceeded the goals in transportation, engineering, telecommunications and many other ways over the past five years.
As China is on a fast track to realizing its "two centenary goals," by working together to build their dreams, Chinese people are creating this Amazing China.
