Syrian authorities organized a music concert in the capital Damascus on Sunday, giving children displaced by war a chance to shine on stage. The conflict, now in its seventh year, has killed more than 340,000 people.
Some of the children were born and grew up during the war.
"All the children have come from shelters, they've been displaced from areas that have been targeted. All of the children were living in conditions that are hard to imagine. It's a bad situation, which has affected their way of thinking and the way they play," said Mohammad Ezzawi, one of the musicians.
The concert was held to support the children with music and love, taking their mind away from the dark thoughts of the ravaging war as they shone on stage.
