Its villages are some of the most remote in the world, but now even communities tucked away in the Amazon rainforest have access to the latest cinema blockbusters.
And it’s all thanks to a group of volunteers from Brazil who are bringing free open-air cinema screenings to local villagers.
The rainforest is home to native Indians and the area is underdeveloped due to inconvenient travel and poor infrastructure.
Watching movies had been a luxury until recently, when a retired Italian reporter began the free screenings, transporting films and equipment to communities by boat.
