Several people were injured and hospitalized after a tour bus carrying 27 Chinese hit an elevated highway in Hakodate, Japan at around 6:20 p.m. local time on Monday, reported Kyodo citing local police.

According to the local police, the accident happened as the 3.7-meter-high tour bus passed the 3-meter height-limit highway.

The local police are now confirming the exact number of those injured. At this time, no life-threatening injuries have been reported.
