The Chinese Foreign Ministry says the country hopes dialogue between South Korea and the DPRK brings peace and the removal of nuclear weapons from the Korean Peninsula.

GENG SHUANG CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTRY SPOKESMAN "We hope all relevant sides take the Korean Peninsula's peace as a priority, work closely and keep the dialogue mechanism ongoing. We hope the current interaction between the DPRK and South Korea could extend to the DPRK and the US, and expand efforts to improve relations between the North and South to denuclearization and prolonged peace on the Korean Peninsula. China is willing to take positive efforts on that as well."
