In just four days the Winter Olympic flame will be lit in PyeongChang. But before that, it still has some traveling to do. The torch relay made its way to Samcheok in the Republic of Korea's northern Gangwon Province on Monday, where Chinese skier Han Xiaopeng was one of the torch bearers.
The 35-year-old became the first Chinese to win a gold medal at the Winter Games when he won the men's freestyle in 2006 in the Turin games.
This is the second time Han became a torchbearer for an Olympics after his role in the run-up to the 2008 Beijing summer games.
Like many stops on the torch relay, this one contains plenty of history as it is the site of the Hwanseon Cave, formed roughly 530 million years ago and the largest of its kind in Asia.
