A man has died after being mauled by a tiger in Yageer Zoo in the city of Ningbo, east China’s Zhejiang Province, on Sunday afternoon. Witnesses at the scene said the man, who has not been identified, got up close to the tiger enclosure and was “teasing” one of the animals before it grabbed and dragged him off into its living area. Zoo workers tried to distract the tiger with firecrackers and water guns. Local media reported that the tiger was shot dead afterwards. The man was hospitalized but was pronounced dead after several hours, according to local media.
