The China Zhi Gong Party is holding its 15th National Congress, with a new leadership expected to be elected. Zhi Gong Party is one of China’s eight non-Communist political parties. Under a CPC-led multi-party cooperation system, Chinese parties take part in the running of state affairs, from formulation of state policies to law enforcement. Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, attended the opening session to extend congratulations on behalf of the CPC. Wang called on members of the party to study, spread and strive with the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, and to contribute to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and national reunification. The China Zhi Gong Party is mainly comprised of Chinese nationals who have lived abroad before returning home, and relatives of overseas Chinese.
