Three Chinese players were eliminated from the women’s singles match during day two of Wimbledon on Tuesday.
China's top player Zhang Shuai was competing at the event as a seeded player for the first time, as she faced Viktorija Golubic of Switzerland.

This was also the fourth appearance for Zhang Shuai at All England Club, and she was aiming for her first victory center court.
Golubic won the opening set before Zhang evened the score with a tiebreak in the second set. But the Swiss would be too much for the Chinese to handle and lead 5-1 in the decider and had two break points to win the match. Golubic sealed the victory when Zhang found the net.
The score was 6-3, 6-7, 6-1, as Zhang had never gotten beyond the first round at Wimbledon.

China's Zheng Saisai took on 29th seed Daria Kasatkina of Russia in the opening round. The 23-year-old Chinese was returning to the court after a knee injury, but was still troubled by the pain.
The Russian sealed the set with an ace – as she won it straight 6-2, 6-4 to reach the second round.
Also on the court was China's Han Xinyun, who was facing Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan. Diyas claimed the opening set 6-3. Han had two break points in the second set, but could not converted either of them, and after one hour and 17 minutes, the 23-year-old Diyas prevailed 6-4 reaching the second round.
