China's air force has held a new round of drills in the South China Sea and the Western Pacific. The People's Liberation Army Air Force says H-6K bombers and Su-30 and Su-35 fighters, with other aircraft, carried out combat patrols over the South China Sea.
They also held exercises in the Western Pacific after passing over the Miyako Strait. The Air Force calls them rehearsals for future wars and the most direct preparation for combat. It says the drills are important for managing and controlling crises.
