The UK's Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum held a Chinese cookery class and cultural performance on Friday. Chefs taught how to make Chinese dumplings, and dancers wearing antelope masks highlighted the need to protect these animals.

It was the first time in the museum’s 165-year history that it has staged such a China-themed event. It formed part of the V&A’s "Friday Late" strand, a monthly event to promote new, contemporary artists through a variety of media including dance, music, and debate. Started in 1999, it is held on the last Friday of every month except for May and December.
Chinese fashion designer Xu Rui worked with 11 dancers from the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Italy to display the sorrow of the endangered animal becoming extinct if awareness is not raised of its plight.
