Chinese and American heads of commerce discuss bilateral relations and Trump's upcoming visit to China

Chinese Commerce Minister Zhong Shan met his American counterpart, US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross in Beijing on Monday. They exchanged views on bilateral trade relations and economic relations in preparation for US President Donald Trump’s upcoming visit to China. 
Zhong said that the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has generally been smooth and steady in recent years. He remarked that both countries have been making active contributions to economic development. 
Zhang said that there is a bright future ahead of the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, and the two sides should appreciate this hard-earned cooperation.

Zhang added that Beijing would like to work with the US to keep implementing the consensus reached by the two leaders before, strengthen the cooperation, manage the difference, and continuously facilitate the healthy development of the bilateral economic and trade relations.
He said that Beijing attaches great importance to the American President Trump’s upcoming visit to China in November. And the two countries should head towards the same direction and create a good condition for Trump’s visit, to ensure that it will achieve good results.
Ross said the US-China economic and trade relations is the most important bilateral trade relations, adding that Washington is willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with Beijing, and prepare fruitful achievements for US President Trump’s visit to China later this year.
