China-US economic ties and the China Pilot Free Trade Zone were the focus at a Ministry of Commerce press conference on Thursday.
A ministry spokesman said China is expecting further pragmatic results from discussions between Chinese and US officials as part of the "100-day Plan" agreed by Presidents Xi Jinping and Donald Trump. The officials have already reached an agreement on lifting the ban on US beef imports to China.
The spokesman also said the 2017 version of a list of banned practices concerning the Free Trade Zone will improve openness and transparency for foreign investment. The new list has reduced restrictive measures for access and for M&As involving foreign investment while expanding the areas of investment for foreign capital.
