South Korea on Monday prepared to return the remains of 20 Chinese soldiers killed during the 1950-1953 Korean War.
The Chinese Air Force has already sent its IL-76 transport aircraft to South Korea. This is the fifth year that South Korea has returned soldiers' remains after China accepted the proposal in 2013. These Chinese soldiers fought on the side of the DPRK during the war. South Korea's Defense Ministry said it would send the remains on Wednesday. At present, there are 569 fallen soldiers whose remains have been repatriated to China.
