A reactor pressure vessel (RPV) powered by China's Hualong I technology finishes up installation on the No. 5 unit reactor. Hualong I is a domestically-developed third-generation reactor design and the No. 5 unit is the first nuclear unit to employ this technology. Scientists said that the No. 5 unit will be put into commercial use in 2020. The UK and Argentina have also expressed intentions of implementing nuclear projects based on Hualong I Technology.
