CBA: Ding Yanyuhang named domestic MVP for second straight year

Shandong Golden Stars forward Ding Yanyuhang was named Domestic MVP of the Chinese Basketball Association regular season for the second year in a row, while Guangsha Lions point guard Courtney Fortson was named the International MVP.
Chosen by 100 representatives from media outlets nationwide, players were awarded five points for each first-place vote, three points for second place, and one for third. The CBA Company collected a total of 90 effective votes.

The result was a close race between three domestic players - Ding, Guangsha Lions’s Hu Jinqiu, and Guangdong’s Yi Jianlian, but Ding topped the trio with 266 points, while Hu had 248, and Yi collected 241. 
In this year’s regular season, Ding impressively averaged 25.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists each game, to help Shandong finish in fourth place.

As for the international honor, former NBA player Courtney Fortson got 328 points to easily beat Jiangsu's Marshon Brooks with 202 points, and Xinjiang's Darius Adams with 161. 
Fortson averaged 31.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 12.0 assists, and 2.7 steals in the regular season. Thanks to his domination, Guangsha headed into the playoffs as the regular season champions.
