The hulusi, also known as a cucurbit flute, is a Chinese musical instrument. It originates from the Dai ethnic group and is over 2,000 years old. The instrument is made of real hulu, or gourd, and the pipes underneath are made of bamboo. With many foreigners learning to play the instrument, hulusi master Ni Kaihong is trying to make it popular around the world.
