The Philippines’ most active volcano Mayon erupted, spewing glowing red lava on Tuesday, which flowed down the slopes and forced more than 34,000 villagers to flee to safety. Volcanic ash fell on several nearby villages in the northeastern province of Albay. Officials advised people not to venture into a danger zone with a radius of six to seven kilometers around Mayon.
