Pakistani hardline Islamist group, Tahreek-e-Labaik, announced that it will call off a weeks-long protest on Monday after the government agreed to its demands, and the law minister, whom the religious party accused of blasphemy, resigned. Clashes between supporters of the group and police erupted over the weekend as law enforces tried to disband a sit-in that has blocked the routes of Islamabad. Seven people were killed and 200 others injured in the clashes.
