Various European and Asian countries are struggling with extreme weather, with hailstones, heatwaves and heavy rain impacting people’s lives and work.
Moscow has witnessed its heaviest rainstorm in nearly half a century,leaving one dead and many injured. Northern and western parts of India have also seen torrential rain.
Elsewhere, heatwaves are sweeping southern and eastern Europe. Temperatures in central Greece have risen to 44 degrees Celsius, and a "Code Red" has been declared by Romanian authorities as temperatures are expected to reach 40.
