It remains unclear whether or not US President-elect Donald Trump is still open to meeting with Taiwan leader Tsai Ing-wen if she visits the United States after his January 20 inauguration. Trump previously angered Beijing when he spoke to Tsai shortly after his election victory. Following vague comments made by Trump over the chances of a meeting with Tsai on December 31, the White House quickly reaffirmed the one-China policy, saying the US has benefited from adhering to it.
