Two Chinese trainees are missing after a training flight crashed into Lake Harney in Florida on Friday, reported Beijing Youth Daily citing an official at China's consulate general in Houston.

The plane was carrying three people, including the pilot, when it crashed.

The consulate has contacted the trainees' airline company and urged local police to put more efforts in the search for the missing, according to the official.
