Back in China, SIPG are in AFC Champions League group F action tonight, taking on Japanese outfit Kawasaki Frontale. It's been so far so good for Vitor Pereira's team this season, with four wins in as many matches in the Chinese Super League a place already booked in the knock-out stages of the continental competition. A win at home tonight will see the club secure top spot with a game to spare.
A single goal from Elkeson back in February was enough for the Shanghai club to come away with all three points in Japan. Frontale mathematically are still alive, but realistically are eliminated. Last season's J-League winners have just a single point in the group and need to win both remaining matches and hope results go their way to stand any chance of advancing.
