There is no end in sight for this conflict, which has unleashed one of the world's worst humanitarian crises. Tens of millions of people in Yemen need emergency aid, face hunger, or suffer from cholera. Among them, children are the most vulnerable. According to UNICEF, the number of severely malnourished children in Yemen has doubled. The UN agency also says the war has caused the deaths of five children every day on average, during the three years of war. Over fifty percent of them have no access to clean water or medical services, and half a million boys and girls can no longer go to school.
