Now we head to Zhengzhou in China's Henan Province, where the annual China International Photographic Art Festival has kicked off. This year's event features an exhibition, which demonstrates the achievements of China's reform and opening-up over the past 40 years, through hundreds of works by photographers from around the globe.
The exhibition showcases photographic works reflecting the appearance of Chinese cities in different periods. It aims to showcase the big changes in China from its reform and opening-up, by presenting together the photos of the same place taken at different times.
Among them are two photos of the city of Xi'an, the capital of China's Shaanxi Province. One was taken by an Italian photographer 40 years ago while the other was taken by Chinese photographer Wang Yuxin 2 years ago.
WANG YUXIN PHOTOGRAPHER "I shot two photos of Xi'an. But I decided to use this one because I think the various lights and track of the traffic in the evening represents the changes of the city more vividly."
And there are two photos showcasing the changes in people's lives in Shanghai over 40 years.
One is taken by a French photographer in 1971 while the other was taken by Chinese photographer He Xunyi in recent years. Two young people are seen playing Chinese Chess in the French photo. But in He's work, there is just an old man playing Chinese Chess on a computer.
HE XUNYI PHOTOGRAPHER "It is not easy to use just one photo to demonstrate the changes in people's lives. So I didn't simply copy what it was like in the French photo. I added a modern element which is the computer to showcase people's life nowadays."
Some 300 works are on display and the exhibition will run until June 18th.
