Earlier my colleague Asieh Namdar spoke to Dan Ikenson, from the Cato Institute, a Washington-based think tank. Ikenson said while some US policy makers believe China has failed to comply with WTO rules, facts suggest otherwise.
DAN IKENSON DIRECTOR OF CENTER FOR TRADE POLICY STUDIES, CATO INSTITUTE "The problem is that the United States, the narrative that has kind of emerged and stocked is that the World Trade Organization is ineffective in reining in China's practices when it breaks rules. That has not been the case. Because it might be useful to us now to say we'll just unilaterally impose duties on you. But that means the rules are gonna break down".
