M6.6 quake strikes off Papua New Guinea

A 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Papua New Guinea, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported on Monday.
The earthquake, which had a depth of 40.0 km, was initially centered at 5.5 degrees south latitude and 151.4 degrees east longitude.
There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage.
