US President Donald Trump declared on Tuesday he was pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has responded to this decision, saying that China regrets the US pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal.

GENG SHUANG SPOKESPERSON, CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTRY "The Iran nuclear deal is an agreement reached by six countries, the EU and Iran. It was also approved by Resolution 2231 of the UN Security Council. All parties should fulfill their commitments to safeguard the deal's integrity, and seriousness. This is beneficial for safeguarding the international non-proliferation regime, and promoting peace and stability in the Middle East."
