Chinese Terminology: Chinese Dream

["china"]
The term "Chinese Dream" became popularized after 2013 and describes a set of personal and national ideals in China.
The idea was first put forward by Chinese President Xi Jinping in his visit to the National Museum of China in November 2012. It encompasses the goals of building a moderately prosperous society and realizing national rejuvenation.
But it's not just one idea. A thousand people may have a thousand different Chinese dreams. It could be one of reviving the nation and modernization, one of wealth and prosperity, democracy and strength or national unity and reform. It is also one of world peace and harmony.
The Chinese Dream differs from the American Dream in that it expresses China's collective aspirations as much as the nation as a whole.
