Issues in Asia: What do everyday people think?

More than half of the world’s population live in Asia. Six of the 10 largest nations in the world are in the Asia-Pacific region. It is the fastest growing economic region as well as the largest continental economy in the world. Asia is playing an increasingly important role in the global economy and international security.
However, the region faces many critical issues. What do everyday people think?
We interviewed Asian people from all walks of life, including an environment activist, a businessman, and a student. The refugee crisis, gender discrimination, rising prices of necessities and unemployment issues were some of their top concerns.
The Boao Forum is expected to focus on Asia with a global vision. Many government leaders, business executives and experts will share their vision on hot issues.
These concerns will be discussed in the leading dialogue platform for Asian and emerging economies. How can we take advantage of new materials and protect the environment? How can we deal with the refugee crisis? How can we keep people employed while we develop technology? How can we give equal opportunities to women? Hopefully Boao 2018 will provide some answers to these questions.
