Xi extends deep condolences to Putin over deadly shopping mall blaze

Chinese President Xi Jinping has extended deep condolences to his Russian counterpart over the Russian shopping mall tragedy that has claimed at least 64 lives.
In his message to Vladimir Putin, Xi offered his deep condolences to all the victims on behalf of the Chinese government and people and in his own name.
On the same day, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang also sent a message of condolence to his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev, over the fire.
The deadly blaze broke out on Sunday at the "Winter Cherry" shopping mall in Kemerovo city in western Siberia at around 17:00 local time (1000 GMT).
