In a bid to for bluer skies, the Ministry of Environmental Protection has introduced measures against air pollution for the next three years. By 2020, cities in China are expected to have fairly good air quality for more than 80 percent of the year. And to achieve that, the country has promised to cut more than 50 percent of pollutants emissions within that period. The air pollution in China is still serious. Last year, only 30 percent of Chinese cities satisfied national air quality standards. Corporate governance and energy structure reform are underway, to go hand in hand with these measures.
