The security incident at the Scottish parliament is over, a spokesman for the parliament said on Tuesday.
"The MSP block is now open and members and their staff can return to their offices," the spokesman said.
The Scottish Parliament building at Holyrood in Edinburgh was evacuated earlier on Tuesday after the discovery of four suspicious packages.
The Scottish parliament tweeted that Chamber business as well as other events are all going ahead as planned.
BBC Scotland reported that the packages were sent to Tory MSPs Liz Smith, Jamie Halcro-Johnston, Edward Mountain and Donald Cameron.
Police are investigating one of the packages which contained what was thought to be white powder.
Police in Edinburgh responded to the scene at around 11:35 a.m. local time and staffs were allowed to return to the MSP building at about 1:15 p.m. local time.
