Turning to trade relations between China and the United States. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said to visiting U.S. lawmakers Tuesday that China was working towards dialogue with the US on trade but not afraid of a trade war. Li also said during the meeting that he hoped America would hold a rational attitude on trade and work with China toward a common solution. The premier emphasized that US congress should take the responsibility to maintain relations between the two countries. He pointed out that trade wars violate basic principles of trade, and also fail to solve economic conflicts. US officials agreed with Li's comment and said China and America had no reason to fight against each other in the trade sector.
