Syria Conflict: Deal reached on evacuation of wounded from Eastern Ghouta
[]
To Syria, where one of the two main rebel groups that control eastern Ghouta near Damascus have announced a deal with Russia to help the wounded leave.
The United Nations will carry out the evacuation in phases.
More than 1-thousand people - mostly women and children - are thought to urgently need medical care. The rebel-held area is under a crippling government assault that's made food and medicine hard to get for several hundred-thousand people.
A monitor group says after 13 days of fighting, Syria's army now controls more than half of the area. Since midnight, two nearby cities have also been seeing intense battles.
