Largely undercover during the early decades, the LGBT community (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) is now emerging in China.
Two positive changes have occurred: more tolerant public attitudes and progress in LGBT rights. Yet obstacles and challenges still remain, understandably so considering social mores.
