Chinese tourists mugged in suburbs of Paris

Around 40 Chinese tourists in a tour group were mugged by four men in Fresnes, in the southern suburbs of Paris on Thursday night, French newspaper Le Parisien reported.
The tour group was attacked by tear gas when they had just got out of their bus in the parking lot of a supermarket near their hotel, and despite the intervention of the driver, they lost eight bags and one backpack filled with luxury goods.
By the time police got to the scene, the four men had disappeared.
According to one of the hotel staff, where the bus parked might have given the suspects opportunity to carry out the crime, as there is no parking lot in front of the hotel.
The tour group reportedly returned to China on Friday morning.
