Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday said he has not decided whether to run for re-election in 2018, but promised he would not hold the post indefinitely.
The 64-year-old Russian leader made the remarks during a question-and-answer session with school children in Sochi.
When asked whether he had a presidential successor in mind, Putin answered the choice would be up to the Russian people.
Putin has been leading Russia's political scene for the last 17 years and is widely expected to run for a fourth presidential term in March 2018.
