Year of the Dog: Exhibition at National Museum of China welcomes new year

To welcome the year of the dog, the National Museum of China has opened a new exhibition dedicated to man's best friend. The museum will also feature displays about the Chinese Spring Festival, and is hoping to bring a festive atmosphere to its visitors. Over 100 items are on display. And the exhibition covers a wide range of collections including pottery, porcelain, jade, paintings and folk crafts. Divided into 4 sections, the new exhibit focuses on different aspects of Chinese New Year, such as the culture of Spring Festival, the Chinese Zodiac, and how the dog is represented in artworks. The exhibition at China's National Museum will run until March 30th.
