Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the TSL attended the first plenary session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. It also took part in the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The TSL has made great contributions to the socialist revolution and construction, and the country’s opening-up. It also had an important role in building socialism with Chinese characteristics and promoting the unification of the motherland.
