At least 18 people were killed and 13 others injured after an explosion hit a funeral ceremony in Jalalabad, the capital of Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province on Sunday, AFP reported citing the governor's office.
The blast targeted the funeral ceremony of a former governor of the Haska Mina district who died of natural causes.

Authorities initially said the explosion was triggered by a suicide attacker and believe it was caused by explosives attached to a motorcycle.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. The Taliban has denied responsibility on Twitter.
