China will enhance cooperation with African nations including Somalia on counter-terrorism and will continue making contributions to the continent’s peace and stability, announced Lu Kang, spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during Monday’s daily presser.
“China expresses deep condolences to the victims and sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and injured,” Lu said. “China opposes all forms of terrorism and will stand with the Somalian government and support their efforts to combat terrorism and achieve national security.”
Saturday's deadly truck bombings have left over 300 people killed and nearly 300 injured. So far, no group has claimed responsibility.
