It's hard to escape the trade dispute between China and the US, leaving many people wondering how the newly imposed tariffs will affect their everyday lives. 

Trump announced during his presidential campaign that he would put Americans first by returning manufacturing to US soil, believing raising tariffs on Chinese goods would be a step in that direction. Meanwhile, China has stated that a trade war will not be beneficial to anyone and will defend its economy against any potential threats.
