US President Donald Trump will roll out an infrastructure plan on Monday. The plan calls for 2-hundred-billion US dollars in federal funds to try to stimulate 1-point-5 trillion US dollars in infrastructure improvements. The hope is it could reshape how the federal government funds roads, bridges, highways and other infrastructure.
But the plan faces significant hurdles in Congress. It doesn't offer as much new federal funding as Democrats want. Nor does it directly address how to pay for the effort.
The Trump administration also plans to unveil workforce training proposals. These include expanding apprenticeships and seeking changes to federal work-study programs.
