Performances by younger athletes at this year's Winter Olympics have turned heads and impressed many. 17-year-old Li Jinyu of China won a silver medal, in the 15-hundred meter short track speed skating event, becoming China's youngest athlete at the Winter Games to win a medal.
Meanwhile 15-year-old freestyle skier Wu Meng was also in the limelight, as she was the youngest competitor at this year's Games. America's Chloe Kim, aged 17, was the youngest female gold medalist in PyeongChang. Snowboarding slope-style champion Redmond Red Gerard, who is also 17, was another athlete born after the year 2000, to claim a gold at the Games.
