Shuafat is the only refugee camp in Jerusalem. In 2007, Israel built a separation barrier around the camp, which currently displaces around 60,000 Palestinian refugees who were driven from their homes due to the Israeli Palestinian Conflict in 1965. Take a look into the Palestinian refugees’ daily lives, especially the children. A resident in the camp said the camp is attacked by the Israeli soldiers weekly. “All the youths are desperate,” a barber shop owner said. “Most of them are on drugs as well.”
